University of Idaho- Releases new book about its campus.


University of Idaho history professor Katherine G. Aiken and Erin Passehl Stoddart, the head of Special Collections and Archives at the UI Library have published a new book on campus history.

 Titled "University of Idaho: Campus hIstory Series" this new book encompasses the long history of the university and features new images from the last 30 years. Chapters focus on buildings on the universities Moscow campus, regional centers and Extension offices; academic departments and degrees; Vandal athletics; student life; and also university organizations.

 

The book builds on two previously published histories of the University of Idaho: "The Beacon of Mountain and Plain" by Rafe Gibbs and "This Crested Hill" by former state historian Keith Petersen. It features a forward by current UI President Chuck Staben.


Books may be purchased through the University of Idaho Library after Sept.19
