Award winning Italian Martial Arts Team visits Henan University
Henan University's Director of Public Physical Education Prof. Hong Hao recently welcomed Italy's award winning martial arts team to the HENU campus. The Italian martial arts team visited HENU to attend a 3 day course of martial arts instruction which focused on the finer points of Long Boxing. The course which was organised by the university and its well known martial arts coach, Cao Shuai conducted a series of routines for the visiting team and also gave them guidance about routine training which will help prepare them for International martial arts competitions.
One member of the visiting Italian team has already made a big impact on his countries national martial arts scene. 17 year old Raffaele Ruppulo comes from a martial arts family, his parents, brothers and even his aunts have all become involved in the sport. Raffaele has been practicing MA since he was nine years old and has already won Italy's National Martial Arts Tournament for 2015. He is currently the MA Long Boxing Champion in his country.
At the end of this month Raffaele will travel to Bulgaria to participate in the sixth World Junior Martial Arts Championships. When he was asked about his visit to HENU he said that the short-term training in Henan University will be a great help in informing him about many technical details of the sport.
