Henan University (HENU) Delegation visits Australia and Cambodia
Recently a delegation from Henan University also known as HENU visited education institutes in Australia and Cambodia to help strengthen its business relationships. The delegation lead by Henan University Chancellor Guan Aihe visited Victoria University in Melbourne Australia, where it signed a new agreement for further cooperation. The delegation also visited Curtin University which has campuses in both Perth and Sydney. At Curtin University the delegation met with vice president Simon Leunig, and discussed plans for academic cooperation.
While In Cambodia, Mr Guan Aihe and the delegation visited the Royal Academy of Cambodia where they met the institutes dean, Academician H. E. Khlot Thyda. The group was also introduced to secretary-general LY Sothyrath, and Chea Munyrith, the dean of the Confucius Institute, who warmly welcomed them.
The Royal Academy of Cambodia was originally proposed by Prince Sihanouk, and is a national research institution in the three fields of humanities & social sciences, natural sciences and also international relations.
H. E. Khlot Thyda said, “we support the Chinese ‘Belt and Road’ strategy, and we are doing the related research work.”
This year, 5 students from the Confucius Institute in Cambodia will study at HENU. Guan Aihe said HENU will strongly support the construction of the Royal Academy of Cambodia, and he hoped that more Cambodian students will study at Henan University.
