CEI's Chairman,Ceo & President Mr.Charles Sun addresses the BRETC Education Summit 2016
At the beginning of May this year, CEI organized its first 'Belts and Road Education Summit' in Beijing, China.
The international Summit which was co-sponsored by the China Overseas Investment Union (COI) helped to raise the profile of the BRETC which is also known as the 'Belts and Road Education and Training Council'.
The BRETC's Secretary General Ms.Hedy Ma, was asked to explain the Council's role and this what she said, "The aim of the BRETC is not only to promote the Chinese education Industry but also highlight the business advantages of being part of the 'One Belt and One Road Initiative.’Innovation and development are key to success in a very competitive environment, and by seizing various opportunities presented through the 'One Belt and One Road Initiative' which is also known as OBOR, Chinese education enterprises can expand their businesses into overseas markets".
"The BRETC aims to give Chinese education enterprises the opportunity to meet and work with OBOR business partners, and using the 'One Belt and One Road' strategy the Council aims is to keep improving the core competitiveness of these enterprises by introducing them to potential international partners."
The recent 'Belts and Road Education Summit' helped to introduce the BRETC to a large number of Chinese education companies, and there was also a lot of interest from international parties. Representives from the embassies of the UK, Malaysia, Pakistan,Lithuania, Bulgaria and Poland were featured at the Summit, and the event also recieved major coverage from both CRI (China Radio International) and CCTV (China Central Television).
Ms.Ma also said, "Following the success of the Inaugural Belts and Road Education Summit, the BRETC is now busy contacting all the companies that attended the event to give them more information about BRETC activities. We are also plannning a follow-up Education Summit to happen later in the year.
