Liaoning University foreign student reaches the finals of the CCTV Chinese Proficiency Contest
A number of Liaoning University foreign students are currently competing in the China Central Television (CCTV) "Chinese Bridge, Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreigners Across the Globe 2016.
The event which was launched on June 13th, is jointly organised by the Office of the Chinese Language Council International, the Confucius Institute and CCTV. Almost 70 foreign students from many different universities around China participated in the opening event. Universities which are taking part in the Competition this year includes the Northeastern university, Haerbin industrial University, the China Ocean University, Liaoning University, Yanshan University, Dalian Medical University, Shenyang Aeronautics University and also Shenyang Normal University.
Foreign students belonging to Liaoning Universities International institute of Education(IIE) are taking part in the prestigious competition and four have done really well. They are Dasha from Russia, Fan Shi Qinghua from Vietnam, Xie Ergai and Make Ximu also from Russia. The four students made quite an impression on the judges during the opening event, especially the Vietnamese student Fan Shi Qinghua who was placed in the top six contestants. She has also qualified for the semi-final and the final contest which will take place in Beijing at the end of this month.
'The 2016 Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreigners Across the Globe' finals will also be broadcast on the international edition of China Central Television.(CCTV)
