The Beijing Institute of Technology(BIT) recently hosted a large delegation from the University of Saskatchewan in the US. The event was organised by the Center of International Communication and Cooperation at BIT and supported by the Office of the Chinese Language Council International.
The American delegation was lead by the vice provost Patti Mcdougal, dean of the School of Education Michelle Prytula, and vice dean David Burgess. The delegation visited China on December 5 through 19th, 2016 and it also visited other interesting locations including the Confucius Institute Headquarters, The Beijing Language and Culture University, Capital Normal University, and the Beijing Normal University. At the Confucius Institute Headquarters, members looked around the Chinese culture experience center and also had discussions with department staff.
At BIT, deputy principal Long Teng met with the delegation. Directors of the Center of International Communication and Cooperation, Institute of Education, the School of Language and the Department of Sports discussed further cooperation projects between the Confucius institute and the two universities. The delegation also visited the Office of International Students, and got acquainted with the enrollment policy and also communicated with some international students. At both the Capital Normal University and Beijing Normal University, the delegation had deep conversations with department staff.
