CEI welcomes University of Victoria delegation to China

CEI CEO Mr Charles Sun welcomes University of Victoria (UV) delegation to China


Earlier this month, CEI's CEO Mr Charles Sun hosted a delegation from the University of Victoria (UV) in Australia. 

The delegation was lead by Mr. Rhys Williams, Director of the International Dept. of the University of Victoria who was in China to visit Zhongshan Torch Polytechnic College (ZSTP) located in Guangdong province. 

The UV delegation was warmly welcomed to ZSTP by college Principal Mr. Chunxu Wang,  who showed them around the campus. 

During the visit the delegation also had friendly discussions about future cooperation between the two institutions. 

     


The Zhonshan Torch Polytechnic College is one of the leading vocational colleges in Guangdong Province which is in southern China. It's also one of the first education institutes to propose higher education alliances with 'One Belt One Road' countries. 

The main purpose of the University of Victoria's visit to ZSTP was to discuss potential future cooperation between the institutes, and to also help cultivate local talents to a high level which will satisfy the needs of the local economy, and 'One Belt and One Road' countries.

With the active participation and assistance of Mr. Sun from CEI, the two institutions intend to cooperate in a number of areas, including subjects like professional accounting and other credit transfer programs. 


 


The University of Victoria is a state run university in Australia which has over 100 years of history and more than fifty thousand students. UV is currently ranked at number 400 in the world, alongside Zhongshan University, China. it is believed that students from both ZSTP and UV will greatly benefit from this collaboration between the two educational establishments. During the UV delegation's visit to ZSTP the two institutions started formal discussions about drafting a contract.


Since 1996, CEI has introduced a large number of high quality overseas educational programmes to prestigious education institutes in China. In addition, CEI has successfully helped many Chinese universities develop cooperation between many overseas institutions regarding the preparatory, undergraduate and master’s level, and also award winning Credit Transfer Programs, which have been recognised with excellent evaluation results from the Chinese Ministry of Education.


     


To date, CEI has successfully helped more than twenty domestic colleges and universities to arrange cooperation with prestigious foreign education institutions. CEI continues to promote collaborations which will assist the internationalization of China's education development. 

CEI is looking forward to creating even more high level opportunities and collaborations which will benefit even more Chinese students.

The University of Victoria (UV) delegation's recent visit to the Zhongshan Torch Polytechnic College (ZSTP) in Guangdong was deemed a huge success, and CEI wishes both institutes well in their future cooperation.
