CEI hosts top education institutes activities at Beijing HQ

Trinity College Dublin Global Relations Team member Ciara Rice meets the CEI International Business Team.

October 18th was a very special day at CEI's head office in Beijing, as the company hosted special enrollment interviews by the ANU(Australian National University).  An invitation to the event was open to all senior high school graduates, undergraduates, and everyone with the equivalent educational qualifications.

Candidates were interviewed by Chloe Zhang, ANU's regional manager for North Asia who heads the International Student Recruitment for ANU. Over the years, Chloe has worked with a number of volunteers at the university, most of which were student volunteers. At the enrollment interview she shared what she's gained from this experience, and also gave relevant university enrollment information and guidelines about ANU.

The Australian National University (ANU) which is currently celebrating its 70th anniversary ranks first in Australia according to the 2017 QS world university rankings, and it's placed at number 22 in the world. ANU also ranks at number 2 in Australia, just after the University of Melbourne according to the 2016-17 Times university rankings.

Students who attended the ANU enrollment at CEI had their university applications reviewed and they were also offered a free application to the university.

A representitive from one of the UK's top new universities, namely the University of Stirling, in Scotland visited CEI in Beijing this week. Student Recruitment Officer Matthew Evans met with our international staff and counselors to introduce Stirling University to them and all that it has to offer potenetial students, and also train our Counselling Team.

The University of Stirling is a UK research intensive campus university founded by Royal charter in 1967. It has four Faculties, a Business School, a Graduate School and a number of Institutes and Centres covering a broad range of subjects. It is ranked among the top 50 universities in the world that are under 50 years old by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings and among the top 40 in the UK in the complete university guide. In the 2014 assessment of research in the UK, the Research Excellence Framework, it was ranked 5th in Scotland and 40th in the UK for research intensity.

Another top university on the world ranking is the Trinity College Dublin aka The University of Dublin. The university is currently ranked as the top university in Ireland and it is well inside the top 100 in the world. In fact TCD is currently placed at number 66 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.  On October 19th Ciara Rice, Regional Officer for the TCD's Office of the Vice-President for Global Relations visited CEI to meet with members of the companies International business department. At the meeting Ms.Rice discussed future collaborations with CEI and she also introduced her university and its curriculum through an interesting multi-media presentation.

Trinity College is the sole constituent college of the University of Dublin, a research university in Ireland. The college was founded in 1592 as the "mother" of a new university, modelled after the collegiate universities of Oxford and of Cambridge, but, unlike these, only one college was ever established; as such, the designations "Trinity College" and "University of Dublin" are usually synonymous for practical purposes. It is one of the seven ancient universities of Britain and Ireland, as well as Ireland's oldest university.
